STILLWATER MUSIC offers an innovative and fun inclusive music and movement class that seeks to dissolve barriers and connect people both with and without disabilities.
With highly qualified instructors assisted by volunteers, participants receive instruction in creative dance and music-making. They might sing popular songs together or play musical instruments like congas, hand percussion, steel pan, piano, marimba and a drum set.
FOR SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN AND TEENS, we proudly offer our inclusive music class in area public schools at no charge. This class runs for 6-weeks and includes students with disabilities along with designated peers without disabilities. You can read about some of our school programs featured in the Durango Herald by clicking here.
FOR OLDER TEENS AND ADULTS, we offer an adult inclusive music class three times a year at our Stillwater Music headquarters.
Our inclusive program is underwritten by a grant provided by the Stilwell Family Fund.
