Tim Propp has lived in Durango full-time since 2020 after he and his family spent a significant amount of time in the area over the previous 20 years. He is a Colorado native but his career as a financial professional (and CPA) in technology, commercial banking, higher education, and global non-profits, including the roles of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for the past 25 years, have taken him all over the country. He and his wife, Kathie, are delighted to have landed in Durango for their retirement. Tim currently spends a portion of his time as a strategy consultant for several companies. He has over 25 years of board leadership experience.
Tim learned to play guitar when he was eight and has enjoyed playing in various bands (covering several genres) for the last five decades. He considers the bass guitar his primary instrument but also plays acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and ukulele. Tim and Kathie enjoy spending time with their five granddaughters and enjoy skiing, golfing, hiking, kayaking, and traveling.
