We value each student and aim to provide you with the tools you need to grow and enjoy music. Please review our program policies and procedures.
Payments: Students have two scheduling/payment options:
- If the student wants to hold a weekly spot, tuition is due before or at the time of the first lesson of each month (September-May) regardless of the number of private lessons attended by the student.
- The student may schedule and pay for lessons as a “one-time” student, meaning they schedule and pay for lessons on a weekly basis, according to instructor availability.
Scheduling preference is given to students who pay tuition to hold their weekly spot.
Cancellations and rescheduling:
In the event the instructor misses a lesson due to a conflict or illness, that lesson will be rescheduled or a substitute instructor provided, or the individual lesson fee will be credited to the student.
We require a 24 hour notice for lesson cancellations. Missed or late-cancelled lessons will not be refunded, and can only be rescheduled if the instructor has an open slot on the same day of the missed lesson and upon instructor approval. If a 24 hour notice is given, students may schedule a makeup lesson in an available time slot with the instructor. Our front desk staff will do their best to schedule makeup lessons at the time of cancellation; however it is ultimately the student’s responsibility to schedule the makeup lesson. The lesson must be scheduled within 2 weeks of the cancelled lesson. Makeup lessons that are missed or forgotten without 24 hours notice will be charged at the instructor’s standard lesson rate.
In the case of an emergency or illness, late-cancels or no shows will be allowed a makeup upon instructor availability and approval.
Checking In / Communication
Each time a student arrives for a lesson they must check in with the front desk staff. Please call the front desk (970-259-2211) to make changes or cancel a lesson. If there is a relationship established between instructor and student, students may also inform the instructor of a cancelation after informing the front desk staff.
Any exceptions to these policies and procedures must be authorized by the Stillwater Music program director.
Partial or full tuition scholarships for Stillwater Music lessons are available to youth students based on financial need. Scholarship forms are available here or the brochure rack at the Stillwater Music front desk.
