Originally from Minnesota, and a graduate of Taylor University, Vanessa moved to Colorado in 2006 and is so grateful to call Durango home since 2013. Vanessa has a background in business development, non-profit management, photography & the arts, and teaching children. Music has played a big role in her life and has given her a passion for making music accessible for all ages and abilities. She enjoys playing the guitar, singing, and incorporating movement through music.

Vanessa joined the Stillwater family as Program & Marketing Manager in 2025. She is excited to be a part of bringing the joy of music to our community!

When she’s not at Stillwater, Vanessa enjoys spending time with her family, mountain biking, reading, photography, hiking, and playing on the worship team at her church.
