Theo has been studying mandolin since he was a kid. He grew up in the bluegrass festival scene and has studied with Joe K. Walsh, Jacob Jolliff, and Jake Howard. He enjoys playing traditional bluegrass and fiddle tunes and also venturing into classical and jazz repertoire. He also teaches beginning guitar. Outside of music, he has a M.Sc in Physics. Theo’s looking forward to continuing teaching in music instead of science, and spending time helping the community music scene (and mandolin awareness) grow in Durango. When not playing music, Theo enjoys spending time in the mountains, running ultramarathons, cooking, and landscape photography.
