Brian Wagner has been an enthusiastic student of the guitar since the age of 10. He loves all forms of guitar playing but is primarily a classical guitarist with a deep understanding of the guitar fretboard, music theory and guitar technique. Brian enjoys teaching students at all points of their musical journey and development. He served as a visiting faculty member in guitar studies (a program that he established) in the Fort Lewis College music department. He has performed as a soloist and in a variety of musical ensembles. He maintained a large and active private teaching studio and taught at Reed College and Marylhurst College Music Department (both in Portland, OR) He earned his undergraduate degree in performance at the University of Arizona and a Master of Music performance at Lewis and Clark College. In addition to his work with Fort Lewis College, Brian was also the Executive Director of the Durango Arts Center: a position he has held from 1996-2007, and worked for the Oregon Arts Commission.
